The purpose of the course " Introduction to Computer Science" is to teach the fist-year student of the Applied Mathematics Department the basic concept of computer hardware and software. The outline of this course consider both the coverage and the depth of computer science and also emphasize the theory and practice of information science. Therefore, this course highlights the fundamentals of Computer and Information Science and includes some major research areas of them. We not only discuss the contents of the course but use computer to practice some typical examples.
