寫作以報紙、雜誌、電子報的寫作為主體，並將文學寫作的種種方法運用其間。
採訪將涵括電視、廣播等領域，將各種不同媒體的採訪手法一一介紹。
課程的目地是讓學生可以成為準職業級的新聞工作者。

新聞傳播事業對社會文化整體的運作與個人的思想生活影響至鉅，牽動的層面既廣且深，又涉及公眾利益，因此也需要接受公眾與輿論的監督與規範。有些規範來自較高的倫理標準，有些規範則必須符合法律的底線，否則將導致傳播事業搖搖欲墜，傳播從業人員也無所依循。在各項傳播事業中，又以涉及公眾利益的新聞事業最為特殊和重要。在數位媒體匯流的浪潮下，許多既有的議題都必須賦予新的詮釋，閱聽人也化被動為主動，與媒體文本進行互動。因此本課程也會探討網際網路時代的新聞傳播情境，將新媒體、網路平台與社群網站納入討論之中。
Journalism and communication industries, which involve the public interest, have impacted upon the society and culture as a whole and individuals so deeply and further that need to be monitored and regulated by the public. Some of the regulations come from the higher moral standards, and some of the ones must comply with laws. If not, the journalism and communication industries will be put at risk, and the relevant workers have no rules to follow. Among the all fields of communication, journalism is the most special and important. With the wave of digital and media convergence, a lot of existing issues need to be interpreted in a new way. There, this course will deal with the context of communication under the Internet age, extending to new media, net platforms and social media.
