This course （Freshman Chinese）describes the headstream of each literary style and the function of literature.It can enlighten the students to immerge in Chinese humanistic thought and arouse interest in it leisurely.Lay emphasis on motivation to read about prose, poesy and novels, and enhance students to appreciate and analyse movies as well. Besides, the students can improve their abilities on application.
All the three aspects such as feeling edification, knowledge and artistic skill can be developed equalizely.

The goal of course is to introduce the literary style in the chinese history,including prose、rhymed composition、 novel and drama.
We will cultivate the students' general capacity and increase their abilities of reading and writing in literature so as to guide them to read and enjoy the works of writers.
Students can gain some knowledge from traditional literature and modern literature through analyzing literary articles in this course. Moreover they can realize the wisdom and senses of beauty of predecessor in order to promote the personal literary attainments.
