本課程將介紹網路社群在當代社會中的角色及其對於民意形塑的影響,課程中將討論網路社群、社群媒體的基本概念及其產生的問題;對於網路社群中的公眾討論、網路聲量、衍生的語文及行為數據資料等要如何分析等議題進行介紹及討論。
Online community and social media such as Facebook and Twitter represent a new class of communication spaces that have become quickly interwoven into the everyday lives of millions of people. On these countless online communities, people comment, share and even produce miscellaneous information. Diverse opinions are therefore shaped on the online spaces. In this course we will draw on competing media and communication perspectives to explore the reasons behind the widespread popularity of online community and how public opinion is shaped by the numerous online community. We also introduce different research methods on investigation the huge amount of data, material and discourses yielded by different types of online communities.
