本課程著重於闡述現代多元化社會中，父母所應承擔之照顧管教及養育的角色，並從人生發展周期之觀點來探討各階段之親子關係與相關議題。課程內容包括：什麼時候開始準備做父母、做父母的條件、不同發展階段的家庭教育、適當的兩性教育、家規與價值觀、家庭溝通、學校生活與挑戰、與孩子一起成長等議題。從課程中，學生能了解親職教育之相關理論，亦期許他們能從中發展出對親職教育之興趣。
This course is to introduce the roles, responsibilities, parenting skills and strategies for parents in today's society, in order to improve parent-child relationship. The specific topics are introduction, when shall we prepare to be parents, conditions of being parents, parental education of different developmental stages, parental education for males and females, family education experience, family communication, school life and challenge, and growing with children.
